VHP Sterilizers & Hydrogen Peroxide Generators
Vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP) bio-decontamination equipment for pharmaceutical, biotech, hospital and biosafety facilities — mobile room sterilizers, HVAC-integrated systems, equipment generators, VHP pass boxes and airlocks, designed and built by Fenggu.
One Technology, Matched to What You Need to Decontaminate
A VHP generator flash-vaporizes a 30–35% hydrogen peroxide solution and holds the vapor in a sealed space long enough to inactivate bacteria, spores, fungi and viruses on exposed surfaces. Afterwards the peroxide is broken down into water and oxygen. The chemistry is the same across the Fenggu range; what differs is the target — a whole room, a cleanroom suite and its ductwork, the inside of a freeze dryer, a filter housing, or the materials passing into a Grade A/B zone.
Our VHP systems are specified for a ≥6-log reduction of Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores, subject to cycle validation, and for aeration to ≤1 ppm residual hydrogen peroxide before re-entry or door release.

Which VHP System Do You Need?
Start from what has to be decontaminated and how often, not from the generator.
Several rooms, treated occasionally
One mobile VHP sterilizer moved from room to room is usually the most economical choice. See how to size a mobile generator.
A whole suite, treated on a routine schedule
An HVAC-integrated system doses through the AHU and reaches the ductwork as well. Compare portable vs integrated.
The inside of a freeze dryer, BSC or fermenter
Use a recirculating generator; for equipment without SIP and with complex internal passages, a pulsed-vacuum generator.
A HEPA filter change in a containment area
Decontaminate the housing in place first with the VHP BIBO sterilizer.
Materials moving into Grade A/B every day
A VHP pass box for tools and small items; the floor-standing version for trolleys; an airlock for pallets and large loads.
Large or irregular spaces where vapor is hard to manage
Networked aHP dry-fog units are an alternative. See vaporized vs aerosolized H₂O₂.
The Four Phases of a VHP Cycle
Every Fenggu VHP system runs the same basic sequence under PLC control, with temperature, humidity and H₂O₂ concentration monitored throughout. More on how a VHP generator works →
Dehumidification
The space is dried so the vapor can reach a useful concentration without condensing.
Conditioning
H₂O₂ is injected at a high rate to bring the space up to the target concentration quickly.
Decontamination
Concentration is held for the validated exposure time to achieve the required log reduction.
Aeration
Peroxide is removed or catalytically decomposed into water and oxygen, down to ≤1 ppm.

VHP Equipment FAQ
What is the difference between a VHP generator and a VHP sterilizer?
In practice the terms are used for the same kind of equipment: a unit that vaporizes hydrogen peroxide and controls its concentration in an enclosed space. "Sterilizer" is common in product names; in pharmaceutical documents the process is usually called bio-decontamination, because surfaces are treated to a validated log reduction rather than sterilized like a terminally sterilized product.
What hydrogen peroxide concentration do Fenggu VHP systems use?
Fenggu VHP generators use a 30–35% hydrogen peroxide solution, typically 35% food-grade. The aHP fogging machine uses a dedicated sporicidal solution.
Should I choose a mobile or an HVAC-integrated VHP system?
A mobile unit suits several separate rooms treated occasionally. An HVAC-integrated system suits a suite treated routinely, especially when the ductwork must be decontaminated too. Our guide to portable vs integrated VHP generators goes through the trade-offs.
Is VHP the same as dry fog hydrogen peroxide?
No. VHP is hydrogen peroxide in the gas phase; dry fog (aHP) is a cloud of very fine liquid droplets, 1–5 μm in our fogging machine. They behave differently in distribution, condensation and cycle design. See vaporized vs aerosolized hydrogen peroxide.
When is it safe to re-enter after a VHP cycle?
After aeration has brought the hydrogen peroxide concentration down to the release limit, specified at ≤1 ppm for our systems, confirmed by a calibrated low-level sensor.
Can Fenggu help with validation?
Yes. For the equipment we supply we provide on-site commissioning, support for biological indicator (BI) validation, maintenance and operator training. Fenggu is an equipment manufacturer and does not offer contract decontamination services.
