Overview

The Fenggu VHP Pass Box combines interlocked, HEPA-filtered material transfer between cleanroom areas of differing classification with an in-chamber vaporized hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) decontamination cycle. Materials placed in the chamber are surface-decontaminated to a validated 6-log reduction before the receiving-side door can be opened, eliminating the biocontamination risk normally associated with manual material transfer. Mechanical or electronic door interlocks prevent both doors from being opened at the same time, maintaining the pressure and containment boundary between zones.

Key Features

  • Full SUS304 construction; also functions as a standard pass box, durable and easy to clean
  • Double interlocked, inflatable-sealed doors — both sides cannot be opened at the same time
  • Inlet and outlet air both pass through H14 HEPA filters to protect the material
  • Real-time monitoring of chamber temperature, humidity, pressure and H2O2 concentration
  • Siemens PLC automatic control supporting unattended automatic operation
  • Real-time printing and logging of process parameters for each cycle

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a VHP pass box and how does it work?
A VHP pass box is an interlocked material-transfer chamber that surface-decontaminates items with vaporized hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as they move between cleanrooms of different grade. Items are loaded, an automated VHP cycle runs to a validated 6-log reduction, and only then can the receiving-side door open, closing the contamination path of manual transfer.
What level of bio-decontamination does it achieve?
It is designed for a 6-log10 (99.9999%) sporicidal reduction, confirmed with biological indicators (BIs) during on-site validation. Actual efficacy is established by the project validation protocol and report.
How long is a VHP cycle?
A typical bio-decontamination cycle runs about 30 minutes, followed by aeration of up to 1 hour to bring H2O2 down to a safe residual level. Timing is tuned to the material load during commissioning.
Is any hydrogen peroxide residue left on the materials?
After aeration the residual H2O2 is 1 ppm or less. Chamber temperature, humidity, pressure and H2O2 concentration are monitored in real time and logged and printed for every cycle.
Can it be customized, and what versions are available?
Chamber size, cycle parameters and control interface are configured to your load and the grades of the connected rooms. Standard, automatic-door (FG-PB-VHPA) and floor-standing (FG-PB-VHPL) versions are available; construction is SUS304 exterior with SUS316L piping and H14 HEPA supply and exhaust.
