VHP BIBO Sterilizer

Overview

The Fenggu VHP BIBO Sterilizer performs in-situ vaporized hydrogen peroxide biodecontamination of bag-in/bag-out (BIBO) HEPA filter housings after normal filtration service, before a filter change, so that filters can be handled and replaced safely. The cycle runs in four automatic steps — dehumidification, conditioning, exposure and aeration. A molecular-sieve desiccant adsorbs moisture, hydrogen peroxide vapor is then introduced at a stated concentration of approximately 30 ppm for approximately 40 minutes, and residual vapor is removed by recirculation through a palladium catalyst, or by operating the BIBO supply and exhaust system, until the concentration is below 1 ppm. Cycles can be developed to a target of at least a 6-log reduction of Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores; actual efficacy is subject to the project validation protocol and report.
